50 mm scope ring height

Quick question for those who have weatherby vanguards with 50 mm scopes. Will med height rings clear the barrel? Its a vari-x 3 4.5-14x50 ao on a 257 weatherby lazerguard if that matters. Thanks

It cleared. That's all I remember. It was over 10 years ago.

I have Talley lows on my cooper with a nightforce. It clears but not by much and it’s a pretty thin barrel. You should be fine with mediums but heights can vary with every ring manufacturer. I’d look at the actual measurement of what their mediums are before pulling the trigger just to be sure.

What base are you trying to use?

I think I used badger mediums with that scope on a Remington 700 5r MilSpec 308

It also depends on if you have a 1” tube or a 30mm tube.
