I want as much meat as I can get on that one tag.

Don't let the trad bow be a reason to shoot babies. Especially elk hunting because you really are at an advantage using a trad bow in thick timber over a compound. My buddy actually ditched his training wheels this year after seeing me dump two elk with trad bows.

Not saying I'm a great elk hunter, I'm still learning. But have some confidence in your abilities with your struggle stick.

If you are talking a 1.5 year old elk they are generally the size of a big mule deer or bigger
Stick bow only 5 days probably would
