First time ever elk hunting spent alot of time in unit 24 on white river national forest. We seen a ton of cow elks and one spike bull all on public land but struggled to find a legal bull. There was a lot of snow in places but where the sun hit there was no snow, and hunting in 60 degree weather. At 9,000 feet I was finding tracks, thinking maybe the warm weather kicked them back up high? Curious if anyone else had luck and wondering if that warm weather would push them back up high even tho cows where all over down low. Did come up on a nice bull which was a cool experience
