450 Bushmaster

450 bushmaster is my vote. I like the knock down and its a .45 caliber bullet. I use the hornady's and have had great success.

I really like my 350 Legend. Daughter and I each took a deer this year with my CVA Cascade shooting Hornady Custom FTX 165 grain.

Daughters was a large doe slightly quartering towards us at 80 yards. Went through the front leg, heart, both lungs and exited a little back on the rib cage. Deer went maybe 10 yards. Took me a while to find either an entrance or an exit on that one.

Mine was a decent size 10pt, full broadside at 50 yards. Broadside, double lung. He went about 50 yards and piled up. Great blood trail on that one. Much better than I had got shooting slugs out of my savage 220.

I’m a fan of the 350L. It’s low recoil and light guns are great. Especially compared to 12g slugs I had to use as a kid.
My boy has taken 3 deer with it. Ages 10, 11, and this year at 12 years old. This year was the farthest shot at 94 yards. All three dropped immediately.

Curious what scopes yall are running for your 450BMs & what ranges would you shoot a deer with?

Leica Magnus 1.5-10x42i BDC turret.
As far as shooting 250-300 yards is the furthest I would probably take a shot.

Leupold fx 450bm. The turret dials good to 200 yards furthest I’ve shot it with Hornady back/custom ammo so I was willing to take a shot to 250 yards if the wind was very light.

Depends what you're looking for. Distance wise, 350 is flatter. 450 packs more of a punch. 400 never shot one.

I'd take the 350 over the 450. Recoil is easier, and I think can do the same damage. It's all about where you put the bullet.

I have a Ruger 450 go wild w/ radial break, with the Hornady black/custom 250gr it drives tacks at 100 yards. I’ve used it in Wv and Ohio and love mine.
