So I have a dilemma, I have a set of older rcbs dies. These dies have the de-primer and case mouth expansion all in the same die. The new dies I see by rcbs have these two operations separate. Anyone with any information which one would be better. I have a single stage press so the old set would be quicker for finished product. Also do I need to lube the cases on the older dies or not.

Thanks in advance

The "new" ones deprime and resize on the same die, so you are still going to have the same number of steps. resize/bell-deprime/bullet seat. So it won't be quicker. The use of lube will depend if your resize die is carbide. If it is not then you will have to lube the cases so they don't get stuck.

Like he said, pretty sure you are stuck with 3 dies. The only way to speed up the operation would be carbide sizer die(no lube).

Next order up would be a turret press.

Then after all that, if you burn as much ammo as me, you go progressive.
