4 CO deer points

Also sitting on 4 deer points with my dad. We are considering high country muzzy or archery this year but man those early rifle and muzzy seasons look nice in a few years. Everything is moving up to earlier dates.

I wouldn't wait. Go hunt with your old man as many times as you can before he can't go no more.

Here is my opinion, look at historical draw stats. Add a point, maybe 1.5 to that. And then pick a unit that you will definitely draw and go hunt it. Maybe get there a day early or two if you can. Creep is going to get going with the changes coming in 2028. You have about as good as any chance finding a giant hunting any unit 2-4th season west of I-25. Seriously.

Agree with @justin davis, but there are still good bucks to be found....just takes a lot more digging and effort than even a few years ago. Go hunt.

I appreciate the advice, we started building these points for high country archery and that’s what they’ll be used for. Not new to hunting out west or to spot and stalk, just new to Colorado high country.
If we fail which is more likely than not, we will
Learn from it. With a July scouting trip and a few days before opener to scout I think we will learn enough to have a good time!

Why don’t yall have 1 of you draw this year and the other person draw the same unit the next year?
