3x3s Worth Shooting Picture Thread

@chasewild is a hard shell to crack, but I will say he is a solid stand up guy and helped me out without knowing me from Adam. And he would be a good one to have in any tight circle of hunting friends. He knows the game!

3pt BT that id like to cross paths with. Never saw him before and haven’t seen him since.

Thanks.

Just poking fun as @chasewild and I have been attempitng to get out for a season for like a decade in here now.. He got bit real hard by that sheep bug as guys sometimes do so its taken a bit.. I would imagine it will happen here in the next few years..

I am lucky enough to have a "inner circle" of 4-5 guys that I am actually honest with and would help out at the drop of a hat w deer. We share intel w great detail among the guys.. There were many years or up until about 2017 I ran totally solo (well shared w the wife and my father) but as I age I realized the need for a group of guys ya trust to bounce things off of or help out when the time comes!
Isn't that the truth!! It really can be beneficial and is so nice not to have to keep EVERYTHING to yourself! My good buddy's have been a part of my kills from several states away with OnX pins and game plans. It's very enjoyable being able to share without secrecy to a select few people that you really trust. And also to be shared with, and feel apart of their kills as well.

My Texas 3x3 with some trash… found him mid-September, and didn’t turn him up again until the first week of December despite looking 3-4 days per week. Crazy how these MD can hide in seemingly nothing! He’s a dink compared to some of the giants in this thread, but I was happy with him…

Here's one from a few years back. Unfortunately hit him at dusk and the coyotes got to him overnight.

Though not of the same caliber of most in this thread, this 3x3 that my dad shot in CO back in the ‘70s was legendary in my mind as a kid. I spent many hours staring at this rack with big dreams in my youth. The antlers burned up in their house fire years ago.

Dad said that this was one of the funnest camps he ever experienced in their decades of western hunting. Coal Mountain, IIRC, near Crawford. He recalled there being lots of deer and just as many hunters!

I got this 3x3 buck 18 years ago while out bird hunting with my old Mossberg 500 12ga. I always carry a 5 pack of slugs in the weapons restriction zone as its not uncommon to bump deer and elk. I belly crawled in the tall grass for a ways and was surprised they never winded me. It was raining pretty good that day. This thread brought back great memories.

Have stalked a few three points only to pass on them due to being youngsters. I did take one old three points dude that was on the down side of his career. Tough old bugger that made good burger. MTG

2014 AB. The top buck was significantly wider than the 31” wide buck I took 2 years earlier. Easily a 170” typ frame. Blew him out at 14 yards and he ran to the horizon. Never saw him again.
The one I killed is 28” wide, grossed 154
