35" offroad tire question

So when selecting offroad tires I always get hybrid ATs for my Ram 1500 shortbed. Been buying Toyo Xtremes and now looking at it's sister company Nitto. My tires are 35X12.50R18s and now Nitto has produced comparable (made at the same plant) in the same size. The Recon & ATX have caught my eye. Comes with a 55,000 warranty whereas my Xtremes came a 50,000 warranty. When I saw this: https://www.toyotires.com/product/open-country-at2/
The 65,000 mile warranty caught my eye. I'm pretty sure all these tires are overkill for my needs but some of the places I find myself in the backcountry are crazy rugged and I want lots of sidewall protection and deep, self-clearing tread.
I'd be interested in feedback on quality all terrain tires from those personally experienced with them on and off-road.
Your thought? Is there anything better?

I’ve had Nitto Ridge Grappler and Recon Grapplers on my Ram 1500. Both performed very well for on and off road. I prefer the Ridge Grappler but they weren’t available the last time I bought tires. Can’t imagine the Toyo not performing admirably as well.

I’ve got Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my Ram 2500 and I’m very pleased with them. Best wearing a/t tire I’ve had on that truck.

What kinda mileage ya get out of them? Even wear with proper rotation and pressure? I'm leaning towards the Toyo ATIII w/ its 65k mile warranty.

I'm about 30K into mine and they may have another 10K left on them. Mine are on a RAM 2500 Cummins and while they've performed well (except in mud) they aren't lasting like I'd hoped.

My truck spends 50% of it's life off HWY so most of the miles on those tires are in terrain. My truck is not my daily driver.

This year in Wyoming we had a lot of rain and the roads turned to mush in some areas. I ended up getting to a point where I could not get up hill anymore due to traction. Lighter trucks were able to go by with some gas and make it. My tank on the other hand was loosing ground instead of gaining. The tires were completely clogged and were not cleaning out and I was sliding backward. To their defense they are not a mud tire. Aside from that they've been perfectly fine.

Loved the Toyo AT 3 I had on my last truck and will put them on the current truck when these factory installed Duratrak wear out.
Toyo AT3 is the only tire I have used that went an entire 120 days straight in the mountains and plains without a flat.

I’ll throw in on an oversize tire that sometimes it messes with your camber. Ruined a good set of tires before I had shop finally figure it out.

Check out Pro Comp AT Sports, best mfg warranty i’ve found and from everything i’ve read they do very well off road and in the ice/snow.

I had Nitto Ridge Grapplers on a pickup long ago, they didn’t last long from what i remember.

I have those on one of my cummins trucks. They are doing well so far...but it's early. I'm about 10k into it.

Great for the money. Anyone considering 35" rubber should seriously consider centramatic tire balancers.

Yeah i’ve pretty much decided i’m giving them a go in the next month or before winter sets in as my factory tires have maybe 3k left in them.

Never heard of em before. Seems like a bit of a challenge finding the right ones for my Ram.

At first glance I thought...no way those work in mud. Then I watched the video and the guy doesn't make any mention of mud whenever listing the tires off-road management. Have you driven in any real mud? Looks like it would collect mud, not eject it. During monsoon season in AZ that red clay just wants to cling to everything. One year I left it on the paint too long (3 weeks) and it literally ate the paint.

I tried toyo RT's 2 years ago and discount tire couldn't get them to balance, even after swapping 3 out of 4 tires. Road force balance was over 70lbs out. They switched me to yokohama's. They wore horribly. 50k tire got 25k ot off them.

Fast forward to this year and tried the Toyo AT3's. They put 4 on and 2 of them were over 90 lbs out of balance. They ordered 4 more and one of those was over 90lbs out. So it took 7 tires to get me 4 that would balance.
I will never buy Toyo's again.

I don't even see xtremes on toyo website and what you have pictured o. Your truck looks like an at2. What's the difference?

Honestly its an oversize tire on a fullsize truck isn't 50k enough?
My Falken at are gonna be smoked by 40k and thats fine. The roads in Mt this season have about shredded them.

When I ran mt I only got 25k

Those were high on my radar, but I bought 4 pro comp 35x12.50r18s for $850.00....or half of the wild peaks at the time.

I bought the new Recons for my Silverado, I've only had them a couple months, but they've made 2 trips to Disney and a trip to Athens, live in Jacksonville, FL. Road wise they are phenomenal, even in a heavy downpour. Offroad I've had less time to offer an opinion, mostly just a few dirt roads as our lease has pretty good roads. Got a few public land hunts coming up that will provide a better test. So far comparing them to Nitto terra grapplers I had previously they are an improvement in road manners and no complaints on the limited offroad. My best friend and hunting buddy is a huge Toyo fan, and will always go with the Open country AT 2 or 3....or most likely if they get to 27...that's his tire, said he was impressed with the Recons...but not enough to sway his choice.
