Decided to shoot some paper at 300 today. I don't punch paper past 100 often, usually use a 200 yd gong to verify dope. Wanted to try my 223 & 6.5 cm at distance. Was a little breezy, the 223 did alright, I was happy with the load, but not impressed. The 6.5 did very well. Just over an inch or so at 300 yds... geeze I like this tikka... it's a factory upr with a stock off a varmit that I had laying around.

Pretty cool that you have a state rep giving out targets with his info on it… good shooting man also 140’s or 147’s?

300 yards is a great distance to practice at. Long enough that the effects of a gentile wind can be seen, short enough to be able to practice most positions and still hit the target. Mentally doesn’t it seem like 300 yards changes how your brain thinks about distance?

Good times. I wish all politicians handed out targets!

Yeah I had to dial in .5 moa of wind with the creed, the other hole in the target is from a 223 shipping a 50gr ttsx, wind really affects those.
