Hope this post belongs here. I just dumped a bunch of $ buying some factory ammo for my tikka 300 wsm. I would like to see if people have had good luck with this bullet. I'm thinking maybe I should have just bought one box and tried it first. I just want one bullet for deer and elk. Appreciate it!

Thanks, that's what I'm hoping for. I used the Winchester accubond 180 a couple years ago but couldn't find that one available.

By the way, I do not reload. I saw lots of other posts on reloading for the 300 wsm.

I have had good luck with accubonds. The 180s would be my choice for your caliber.

Been running 180 accubonds in my wsm for many years and every elk I’ve taken with them was a bang flop.
I load my own so never have an issue finding them, but if I didn’t I would try nosler factory rounds.
Boringly reliable.

The factory nosler 180 shoots pretty well from my Tikka. I do reload Berger 200.20x but carry either nosler 180 factory or Norma Bondstrike 180 in the factory mag for close shots at high velocity. Either would serve you well. My rifle has taken 2 moose with the 180 Bondstrike which appears to be a pretty similar bullet to the accubond, performance, construction and appearance

Killed piles of elk and deer with this load. No issues. No lost animals. 20-600 yards

That's good to hear. I keep hearing a lot about the bergers. They must be good but for now I think I'm going to pass on trying reloading.

My tikka does 180 Accubond hand loads 2” 10 shot groups.

It also does 178 eldx 1” 10 shot groups.

Yes you should try different brands and see what does best in your rifle.

I’ve always had good luck with accubond bullets. I have tikka 300 wsm as well. I’m fixing to start reloading for it and Im trying the Barnes ttsx copper bullets 165gr.
