So I won a custom rifle in a DSC raffle back in March. I got to pick the caliber. So being that I already own a 7 SAUM I felt a 300 PRC would be a great compliment to that rifle. Now I am in process of doing some load workup and want to get everyones thoughts on what has worked for them. In my 7 SAUM I run 168gr VLDs and have no plan to change. This 300 PRC's use case will be for the larger side of the big game spectrum. Bear, moose, possibly elk. So big, heavy, tough animals.

With that in mind, what bullet(s) would you recommend to start with?

Definitely not 215 berger😉. They are hard enough to find sometimes tho I'm good for now. Seriously, they've been great for me. Stuff just gets dead when hit , zero drama. Accurate and consistent.

215s are easy to find now. You can get both the 215s and N570 from Unknown Munitions as well as a few types of brass.

I run 215s and i have a few thousand so good for a little bit. And enough 570 for them.
I also run 200grain accubond (i think maybe discontinued) both have shot very good

What COALs are you sitting at with the 215s?

I will have to check. Other then a visual mag box fit i never measure over all length
