Inaccurate chart as it incorrectly lists property tax and income tax. Both are progressive. Those are the highest possible brackets and would only affect homes worth over 5 million dollars and incomes over 500,000 single or $1mil combined.
In other words not a big issue for 99% of Californians

Yup Prop 13 is a good deal. Problem is fuel tax is the highest in the nation, just under 67 cent?gal. Then there are annual car registration fees which are stupid high, along with many other taxes, which are right up there with the highest in the nation. Let's face it guys, we get taxed 24 hours a day. Turn on a light get taxed, flush the toilet, taxed, toast you muffin, taxed, water the lawn, taxed, start your vehicle, taxed, stop for coffee and a doughnut taxed. All so the govt. can find more ways to waste our money.

True
But- which state doesn’t tax it’s citizens to pay for essential services?

Two cities San Francisco and Los Angeles have that issue, they voted for it and live with it.
The upper peninsula of Michigan isn’t some wasteland due to Detroit is it?

Lots of "essential employees" for those "essential" services . People have different opinions on what essential means

Damn 300% increase would suck.
Mn raised boat registrations this year as well. Depending on the size of the boat it ranges from 78% to 143% increase.
