I’m impressed with the consistency and accuracy of the 190 grain Sub X. I measured the ogives when seating and they remained consistent through the lot. I’ve been reading they work on deer if used much like shooting a deer with an arrow.

Starline annealed brass
CFE Black
11.7 grains
CCI-450

50 yards

I’ve loaded a few sub X for a 450BM with Unique running 1015fps. They are yielding 3/4” 3 shot groups at 50 yards I’ve yet to capture one out of about 8-9 pigs and 2 deer, all pass through and it appears that expansion is minimal. All high shoulder shots and every animal has flopped, the loud whap of a sub hitting a shoulder will put a smile on your face

I have a bunch of these loaded up in 300blk. Results on paper are “cool” , I’m a bit of a skeptic with them on meat (game/terrorists) worried they will not expand based on previous posts. Seems split opinion.

Kill anything with them yet???

I just loaded up some in a 308 this past weekend.

9.0gr of Clays
Fed 155M
1045 fps

I saw decent accuracy out of them as well. Just under 1" at 50 yards. Hopefully get to try them out on a deer this weekend during the rifle opener.

Good luck!

Bumping this back up.

@General RE LEE have you used this gun on deer yet?

I ordered a 9” portless 300bo, brass, dies, and need to get a .30 cal can and projectiles. Yard deer will make the grocery list for me going forward and need to set up a gun for it.
