30-40 Krag Grouse Load

Really fun commercial cast bullet handload for small game and plinking. I bring them deer hunting for grouse in WA state.

18 grains Alliant 2400
CCI Mag Large rifle primers
170 Laser Cast lead bullets, Gas checked

Once upon a time used to do same with 30-30. Hard cast bullet with gas check ahead of a charge of pistol powder either 2400 or unique,memory failure,made for a very mild , no recoil load.
