Can I see Pics of yalls 3 pin fast eddies? How big is the scope?

I've been between the fast eddie, HHA kingpin, and the MBG elite pure gold 75.

I’ve got a MBG 5 pin ascent dovetail on one bow and a MBG 3 pin ascent dovetail on the other. The thought process in 3 vs 5 for me is: 20, 30, 40 on the 3 pin and 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 on the 5. Both bows are identical other than that difference. One is my primary western bow and the other is my primary eastern bow.

Thanks for the ideas and opinions, still not dead set on which brand but leaning towards the 3 pin slider.. I'm not in a rush yet since in the market for getting a new bow this spring as well but that's a different topic.

The one gripe I have about the Assault Verdict models is that they do not have micro adjustable pins. They also do not have a reference hashmark system similar to the cheaper Rush models, or similar to the CBE models. However the new flagship models they came out with this year do have this, although it'll set you back 400 dollars.

3 of my group shoot Spot Hoggs currently. 1 shoots a fast eddie xl double pin on his vertix. 1 shoots a 3 pin hogg father on his halon. I shoot a fast eddie xl double pin on one bow and a hogg father double pin on the other. My first pin is in a kill zone out to about 30 yards, 2nd pin works from low 30s to about 40. Outside of 40 I dial or don't take a fast shot. All 3 of us love em. Especially with bows shooting 290fps or higher, the double pin covers you out to 40. 2 or 3 pin sliders seem to really be a good mix of both worlds. Less clutter than a 5+ pin sight, but more versatility than a fixed single pin. Good luck on whatever you choose!

+1 on this:
I have a black gold ascent verdict 3-pin set at 20-30-40 and think it's the ultimate in versatility. Under 40 no need to dial, beyond 40 I'd like to think I'd have time to dial to the exact distance.

I ended up putting the 3 pin black gold ascent verdict on my sr6. So far I really like it, but havent used it all that much. I like the dial knob and the brighter pins on the MBG better than Spot Hogg. Even though I think the Spot Hogg seems like a more sturdy sight. I didnt think I could go wrong with either one.

I just purchased the S&S BG Ascent from S&S for my new CT5. I really like it. It has .19 pins for the top two and a .10 for the bottom. Im going to set it up for 25, 40, 50.

I know you might have your heart set on a 3-pin slider, but have you looked at the Option sights? I have been using the Option 6s for over a year and find it easier to use and I can use a fixed pin or 5 pins, instantly. It is like two sights in one. And my accuracy with the sight tapes is spot on. This sight really helped with my 3D shooting as now, locally, I am usually the top 5 when before I struggle to get half way through the field.

I would highly recommend this sight for almost all applications as it is so versatile.

almost every story Iv ever heard of people missing deer from using the wrong pin/distance has been with a 3 pin. Even #TheLegend tells a story on a podcast about this.

How are they missing because of the 3 pin? I see other factors I guess. Maybe if the deer/elk was farther away than his pins and didnt get to dial? But as far as confusion on the which pin to use I don't see.

I assume most of them started with 5 pins and when they switch to 3 pin are Trying to split the yardages differently and just brain fart ,,, but Iv heard that “wrong pin” story a half dozen times from 3 pin guys this year...

Oh gotcha, well makes sense if they're not used to it.

Reading these comments has me worried about the Axcel I was planning on buying.

My local shop pushes them, and they look like very nice sights.

Anyone have a good story about them?

I started on 3 pin sights, but have tried 5 and now single pin. The 5 pin sight is way too cluttered for me. The single pin(that I'm using now) is nice but a lot can happen while trying to get on an animal. I'm gonna eventually go back to a 3 pin(probably a slider). That would be just about the perfect sight for my application.

The only wrong pin issue I ever had was from a 5 pin sight. That garbage quickly went away.

even with a bow over 300 FPS I don’t see how someone would feel “cluttered” with 5 pins unless their arrows are feather light making the pin gaps too small..

I don't know what to tell you. It's just too much in the way. 0-30 with the first pin leaves a lot of extra pins that I don't need in my way.
