Hey so i am new to this backcountry hunting and i am looking for a tent that can handle 2 people and the late season up here in northern idaho?

Well, the standard line of thinking is to double your occupancy needs. So, for 2 people a 4 person tent will have plenty of room for 2 people and gear. However, there are a lot of factors to consider. You can go with a free standing tent (more traditional) or a floorless shelter that would allow for a stove of some sort for heat. Do you have a budget you are trying to stay within?

Id say the budget is $200-$400 and what are the pros and cons to having a floorless or a floored tent?

I am wanting a tarptent rainshadow 2. Looks like a tent that would be perfect for 2 but also fine for 3. No experience with it. Its just the one I want to get.

Check out jimmy's tarps he has a new floor less tarp tent called the alpine basin that sells for 300 bucks. With his new stove you'd be just a little over our budget. Facebook page or eBay only. No web page. You can't go wrong with the ss2 either.
