On my new pouches are doubled-up, two-sizes of 3-bar sliders, why?

For different sized common loops (3/4 or 2")

One is going on my belt pouch and the other two on the sides of my pack. Are those both 3/4"?

Where would a 2" common loop be found?

Cut the other ones off with dikes?

I noticed some pullouts have 1" webbing and sliders. Why aren't the pouches this way? If they have 3/4" webbing for attachment why have both? Now that I cut mine off (assuming it is for where they attach to vs. what the pouch itself has). Ugghh!
