Remember hearing John barklow talk about having a windproof layer close to skin then insulating over that? Think he said he likes the mountain jacket.
So I'm toying with Idea and looking for options. It makes sense to me from a standpoint of keeping body heat in.
So far I've found the peloton 240 and Klamath. They seem to be a thin light fleece that is wind resistant. I like the idea of the mountain jacket but no hood.
I have been toying alot with my system the past 2 months mainly my 2nd layer. Between swapping between core heavyweight hoodie, core mid weight zip tee, chama hoodie, core long sleeve crew.
I've found I like my 2nd layer to have a hood.
Then I layer my non hooded kenai over that. I can regulate heat with the 2nd layer hood combined with a ball cap or beanie. Then my kenai has pit zips and moves moisture super well.
then when stationary I put on my lost park parka over all that.
So anyone have ideas on garmits I missed or input on the peloton and Klamath?
