I just bought a savage 110 ultralite with a carbon proof research barrel. Sadly it was supposed to be chambered in .308 on account of I already own .308 ammo and the nosler is running 3-5 bucks a round. I know little about 28 nosler. Looking for info about the cartridge.

The 28 is a long range game stomper. Near the top of the 7mm food chain. Its more cartridge than most need!. It burns handfuls of powder per shot and has proven to be accurate. I had to have one!

Ahh ok, thought we were talking a new caliber. I’m not much of a christensen fan, I like the Seekins Havak better.

I have been intrigued by the 28 Nosler for a while, but I just can't bring myself to buy one when the barrels burn out so fast. IMO That's a lot of money for only ~500-1000 shots!

Im mainly a hunter, not a target shooter these days so ive decided 28 nosler will work just fine for me. I hear ya tho lol

I would be happy it is a 28 and not a .308

.308 just doesn't impress me. Its OK but that 28 would be bad ass.

Plus side to 28 nosler right now seems to be every store I would into has it on the shelf, maybe because it's not as popular currently?
