Lots of good powder options. R17, H4350, Hunter, Staball 6.5, 760, and Magpro just to name a few. R17, CCI 250, and 140gr Accubond at 3150 fps is money in my rifle.

I've had 2ea 270 WSM's -- a Kimber Montana and a Tikka Lite! I tried bullet weights from 110, 130, 140 & 150 in both rifles using a variety of powders and primers. The brand of primer didn’t seem to make any difference in accuracy with either rifle but powders certainly did! I tried IMR-4831, IMR-4350, H-4831, RL-19, RL-22, MagPro & H-1000 powders with most bullets – which were 110 Barnes TSX Tipped. 130 gr Barnes TSX 130 gr Hornady SST, 130 gr Sierra Gameking SP, 140 gr Barnes TSX, 140 gr Hornady SST, 1340 ge Nosler Accubondnd 150 GR Sierra SPBT. I eventually settled on Winchester WLRM primers because that’s what I had mostly on hand!
The Montana was an early one and I had a significant issue with obtaining the level of accuracy I wanted -- which was common with the early ones! After re-bedding it twice, I found 2 bullets it would shoot under an inch with 3 shots at 100 yards. The first was a Sierra 150 gr SPBT using H-1000 and any primer I tried. It was consistently under an inch while working up to maximum velocity, which was 3100fps. Then I found that it also liked 110 Barnes TSX Tipped bullets, also using H1000. It was even more accurate than the Sierra and was consistently between ¾ inch and under ½ inch. I settled on a 1/2 inch load that wasn’t maximum and got 3460 fps!
The Tikka was my second 270WSM and was bought used! It also liked both the Sierra bullet and Barnes bullet and groups were both consistently under an inch and was best using the same loads as with the Kimber but shot other bullets at around an inch as well – so wasn’t as fussy as the Kimber!
I was able to get every bullet of every weight I tried to shoot within an inch with the Tikka but not always at maximum velocity! However, like the Kimber, the Tikka shot the 110 Barnes TSX Tipped between ¼ and ½ inch at 100 yards – at 3460 fps so that became my favorite bullet with both rifles!
H-1000 outshot every other powder with the Tikka as well as with the Kimber!
