270 Win 165 ABLR Load Data - Quickload?

I had a 1:9 twist put on a 270 win and picked up some 165 ABLR to try. I am not seeing much for load data out there for this combo since the standard 270 win won't stabilize this bullet. I suspect that load data for the 160 partition would be a good starting point since that bullet likely has more bearing surface than the 165 ABLR anyway. Just wondering if anyone has played around with this combo, or if it is in Quickload yet. I have some H1000, Hunter, H4831sc, Staball HD, and RL26 to try. Thanks.

Best thing I could recommend is Nosler data for the .270 Winchester and the 160 grain Partition. Drop back a couple grains from starting loads as the faster twist and slightly heavier bullet could ante up pressures a bit.

To my mind when manufacturers start making the .270 Win en masse with faster twist bbls, it will be the best of all worlds. High BC bullets, mild recoil and brass/components available for an eternity.

New and shiny sells new rifles, period. Doesn't make anyone a better hunter, a better rifleman, or kill game any better, IMO and IME.

I built the 165ABLR bullet in QL, and what @35WhelenAI tracks. I compared propellant table for the 165 to the Berger 170 EOL which is in QL already, and it is pretty close, ~0.5gr on most of the powders I spot checked, and the ones you have listed. I think you'll get well over 2,700fps and that will put you right about minimum impact velocity at 1000yds.
Based on that, best velocity for what you have is:
RL26
Hunter
H4831sc
H1000 is probably too slow. I am guessing the same for StaballHD, but not a lot of data on it yet and it is not in QL.

Pushing the heavies, newer slow burning powders will get a useful amount of extra velocity vs the old standby's such as H4831, IMR7828 using similar charge weights.

Do you still have the quick load data for the 165ablr 270 win with RL26. I am looking to load some up for my fast twist browning 270. Looking for some baseline data to start with.

Here is an update. Got to loading some 165gr. accubond LR over the past few days. So far I’ve managed to get a max charge of 57.7 grains of Reloader 26 for 2930fps. Optimal charge is around 56.5 grains for 2880fps. Found that the ablr likes a lot of jump at .100” in my Browning western hunter LR with 24” barrel. Best group was .53”. Just need to do some final tuning of the powder charge yet to see if I can improve the SD a little more. Should be a great load for elk out to around 650yds if groups don’t open up as I push the range out farther. That will be farther than I will be comfortable shooting at big game anyway.
