.260 rem and the quest to replace discontinued rounds

I purchased a left-handed 260 Remington from a member of the forum here a few years ago. With it came two boxes of Sig Elite Hunter ammunition. Along with an assortment of various other brands.

The rifle seemed to really like the 130 grain sig grounds. From what I can come up with it’s a sierra gamechanger bullet. Everything I’ve ever shot it at in terms of game has been absolutely devastated.

And then sig stopped loading that round. Anyone know of a viable replacement with the same bullet, in the same weight, without completing setting up and learning how to reload?

Try the Hornady ELDX and eldm factory ammo

I haven't seen any ELDX ammo for the 260. They have the 130 ELDM (that I really wish was available in the 6.5CM) and the 129 SST available but nothing from the ELDX line. Most of the 260's are 9 twist so that keeps most companies from loading heavy bullets in the 260. My 260 has an 8 twist barrel so I'm good with most anything but it really likes the 120 NBT.

Uffda that’s kinda a spending one to buy ammo for with not a lot of options. I see midway has 129gr hornadys on sale for $40. I that’s where I’d start.

Decent prices for the Hornady 129 SST and 130 Berger loaded ammo.

Several custom ammo companies should be able to replicate that load. Unknown Munitions and Superior Gun Works are the two I can think of at the moment.
