For the folks who reload for a 25-06, I'm curious what "recipes" you've had good success with. I have some decent loads worked up with H4831SC and 90 gr Sierra HPBT and 100 gr Nosler BT's. Accuracy is good (~1 MOA), velocity is OK (3200 and 3065 fps, respectively). Seems like I should be able to squeeze some more speed out of it--its a 25-06 after all. Rifle is a Browning X-Bolt. Thanks.

I don’t remember what powder I used, but I hit 3450 with a 100gr nbt. I don’t remember if it was imr4955, h4831, or a Reloder powder.

For lighter loads, I'd try 4350.

I usually use 4831, but I've also tried RL25 with heavier bullets.

For lighter loads my two both liked h4350 and also imr4640. I think it really does better with 115 BT over Retumbo .

What I've used and have worked well for me: IMR7828ssc and 115 BTs. Retumbo and 115 Bergers. IMR4955 and 100 TSX/ 101 TTSX.

IMR4831 to Retumbo burn rate range all will work well.

The 25-06 is quite overbore and thus likes slower powders.

My 22" bbl 25-06 likes N160 for the 100gr Nos BT(grouped way better than H4831sc) and H1000 for the 110gr AB. Have some 115 VLDs on order the try with H1000 and Retumbo

These loads are safe in my rifle. Proceed at your own risk
Remington 700 24” Bartlein 1-10 twist
Norma Brass and Federal GM primers
115 VLD 58.0 H1000 3050 FPS
110 Accubond 53.0 RL 23 3047 FPS
110 TGK 53.0 RL 23 3060 FPS
117 Sierra Pro Hunter / Game King 52.0 H4831SC 2950
115 Nosler BT 53.0 H4831SC 3010

I get best speeds out of RL 22/23. The H4831 tends to be very accurate but slower.
The Sierra 117 / H4831 load shoots well out of every 25-06 I’ve owned.

117 Sierra GK over 50gr of IMR 7828ssc in a Norma case gives me 2940fps from a 26" barrel. Sub MOA.

4831sc under a 80g ttsx. Runs 3400 easily in a 22” barrel. Barnes has good data that’s fast.

117 grain Hornady SST and IMR 4350 very accurate. 115 grain Nosler Partition with IMR 4350 accuracy good not great (1-1.5" groups at 100 yards) but it will drop Mule Deer in their tracks.

RL22 and 100 TTSX in my Sako has been a great combo for 15 years. It is a 400 and in combo which is fine with me for this setup.

Can’t recall how much, but have used primarily IMR4831. Got 100 grain Noslers to 3400, and 117 SST’s to 3150, both shot very well. Been wanting to load up some lighter bullets to shoot at coyotes and see how fast I could get them but haven’t got to it yet. 25” barrel

I’ve got three different loads for my Tikka 22” barrel. The first two may be a bit surprising because they use a fast burning powder.

1. Sierra varminter 87 grain, IMR 3031 47.0 grains, group average 0.55”, velocity 3332 fps, extreme spread 18 fps.

2. Nosler ballistic tip 85 grains, IMR 3031 44.0 grains, velocity 3262 fps. Group 0.59”

3. Berger 115 grain VLD, H4350 51.0 grains, group 0.45”, velocity 3089 FPS.
