Anyone have a good load to work up to for 243 with 103-106 grain bullets?
Gun is a 20" Tikka 1:8 twist.
Bullets are 103 Eldx for game and 106 Factory seconds for some steel targets.
Main powders id like to try and use are H4831,H1000 and H4350. In a perfect world id get it up over 3,000fps so I can get close to using the current CDS I have on the scope, but obviously accuracy over everything. Anyone have a good recipe?

This is in a pre 1980 Remington 700 243 win, probably a 10 twist. I realize the 103 says 9 twist, but we tried it anyway. The rifle shot the 103 ELDX the same as it shoots 95 NBT’s, 100 Interlocks, and 100 Partitions. It’s 1.9ish MOA for most anything we put in it.

We tried 41 grains of H4350 in new Peterson brass, Remington 9.5 primer, seated at 2.825. 2.825 was to long for the magazine and my notes say 41 grains was to hot for this rifle. It shot 10 to 1.96 MOA

We ended up with 40.5 grains of H4350 in new Peterson brass, Remington 9.5 primer, seated at 2.810. It was 1.97 MOA for 10.

39 gr H4350 108 eld-m, virgin peterson brass, rem 9-1/2. Little slow at 2800 in a 22" tikka but it's a brand new barrel that hasn't sped up at all yet

If you want to ensure your hitting 3000 fps you might want to drop to a little lighter bullet like the 95 TMK.

Im shooting the new 107 tmk in a 18 inch barrel with 40.5 grains of H4350 at 2770 fps
