Wanting to hear if they believe with a .243win a person should really try to avoid quartering away/to shots or not?

Heck, no, as long as you aren't shooting a light or fragmenting bullet (e.g. ballistic tip, eld-x at high speeds, etc.).

I used Norma Whitetail .243 (100gn spire point) to shoot a head-on doe in the left chest/neck junction. Bullet exited the rump, one inch right of the poop shoot, hitting multiple bones along the way. She dropped without a twitch, of course.

That was a cheap cup-and-core bullet. Using the 80-95 grain monos I load now, I would not worry about shooting any deer from any angle that transects the vitals.
