KS,If your calling coyotes then most shots will probably be under 200, even under 100. And I prefer speed over high bc on anything under 300.
I have killed several with the 87gr V-Max at over 450 yards. That or the 80gr ELD-VT should be good to 600 plus.Thank you. Appreciated. Will purchase the 108's.
Guide says most shots will be less than 400 yards. Seems most folks really like the 87 gr V Max and 85 gr Sierra BTHP. I have both. Accurate and capable.
I don,t have any runners with them.I like running a 87 vmax at 3300. 22" 1n8 ....was a daytime gun ....now is a dedicated thermal gun...most are DRT!
Spot on! Been saying this for years. The nosler bt is a killer. I will those over a vmax anyday.I shoot 75gr Vmax in my 6-284 and they have been brutal on coyotes. I use 70gr Nosler BT in my 6 Creed. The Nosler Ballistic Tip bullets tend to be a little tougher constructed bullet then the Vmax and are less explosive at least that's been my experience with them.
If you like big messy holes, I do, give the 75gr Vmax a try but if you want a slightly less explosive bullet that still performs well I'd look at something like a 80gr Nosler BT. My daughter shot nice 3x4 whitey a couple weeks ago with my 6CM 70gr Nosler BT and it dumped him pretty hard.
Except for a couple hot rod 22 cal wildcats (22-6mm & 22-243 Imp.) I typically don't shoot heavy for caliber bullets in coyote guns.
