There’s a lot of money and effort put into advertising premium brass, and I have Lapua brass for some purposes, but I’ve always been a fan of cheap brass in accurate rifles.

I thought you 223 guys might like this video - Kevin does a good job of testing and the results are good for guys saving money reloading.

I dabbled in 3 gun for a little bit, all I ever used for 223 was unsorted range brass. I sized with a small base die, chamfered the primer pockets, and never had an issue. It shot very well, even for my long range loads. Even now that is what I use in my bolt actions for coyote hunting and practice loads.

Almost all my .223 brass is range pickups. Works great for me. And I have A LOT of it. I found a pile along side a FS road out elk hunting this last year that I didn't even bother to pickup. I do use non range brass for my TC Contender loads for hunting in states where it's legal or some predator hunting. But the rest is all plinking rounds out my Mini-14 or ARs as it is not legal for big game hunting here.

I only use range brass, only sorted per manufacturer. Shoots as good as the virgin Starline I have. Shot my PB today with it at 200 yds, so yes it is good!
