Will SAAMI come out with a 22 PRC? (or for that matter a 6mm PRC or 25 PRC?)

It's not SAAMI that does such things. Someone develops it and then submits it to SAAMI for approval. Best question is will Hornady do it? I'd think they would be the most likely ones.

Havent found anyone thats had a reamer made up but primal rights has an improved version.

This would be awesome! Agree on the barrel life - barrels are consumables, so shoot away and have fun! The twist is probably the most important thing, unless you shoot monos.

Well chalk this up to the not worth it fairy.
Tried adg, Peterson and lapua brass and 4 powder/ bullet combos and could not get more than 100 fps over my 22 creedmoor loads
Accuracy wasn’t great, not terrible. 1.2-1.5 moa for 5.
Pulled the barrel at 800 rounds, throat had not moved as much as I would have thought
For the added recoil over the 22 cm it’s not worth the diminished returns

For sure disappointing. Looks like another option is the 22 PRC Primal or 22 Hardaway Hammer type chamberings.

I’ll wake this back up. Picked up a 25PRC yesterday and immediately started thinking about a 22PRC.
Hope to develop 25PRC loads this weekend.

I suspect to gain much in the 22, we’d need a looonger barrel and slower powder.

I think a 308/260 Ai size case necked to 6 and 22 would be the jam. Or if the prc shoulder was bumped back shorter for a mag bf. All these guys in here wanting extreme velocity but an 18” barrel makes no sense to me. It’s like trying to run but you cut your feet off before the race.

But I would 100% be a short barrel. 18” tops
