Which 22 mag rifle? Ruger American, CZ?

I have a CZ 512. It is an excellent rifle. Fit, finish, function and accuracy are top notch.

I mounted a scope on it recently and took it out to sight in and it is a tack driver.

For a classic stock bolt rifle, look at Savage too. I also have a Henry I’m pretty happy with

I have a CZ 457 in 22 Mag. I put a Lilja barrel on it, and it shoots very well.
I also have a CZ 457 varmint in 17 HMR and a Ruger American in 17 HMR. The CZ is a much better rifle all the way around.

My personal choice would be the 457. I like wood and steel. Either one would be good for killing a tennis ball at 100 yards.
Nothing wrong with the Ruger if it tickles your fancy !!!!

I have a pre- Ruger stainless steel bull barrel Marlin bolt gun I've won local rimfire matches.
Alas I don't think they're available.

We're I to buy a new one it would be a CZ with the heaviest barrel I could get.

Hard to spot shots and manage recoil. They have moved to the .17 now.

I have the Ruger which I've been very happy with. I can't imagine treating a CZ the way I do the Ruger.
