I’m looking to load up some 22 Creedmoor with the 53 grain V max. I was hoping someone wouldn’t mind looking up this combo on quick load.

22 Creedmoor
Alpha 22 Creedmoor brass
53 grain V max
Federal 205MAR primers
AR Comp powder

Thanks in advance.

AR Comp is going to be a little on the fast side for that particular cartridge but if that's all you have to work with you just have to make due.

Depending on your OAL and how close you are to touch somewhere around 38gr is where you'll want to really start keeping an eye on pressure and depending on barrel length you should be well over 3800. Without the exact specifics it's hard to get much closer than that.

Sounds like your gonna have blistering speeds
I would like it fairly flat. But I’m not going to lean on it. I would of just built a 22-250 but I've read there are feeding issues sometimes on AR platforms.

Yea I was thinking it will be a little fast also. I have a lot of it. If it sucks I’ll spend a lot of time online trying to get some Varget. I use AR Comp in the 22-250 with 52’s and it shoots really well. I’m at book max in the 22-250. I was thinking of starting at the max 22-250 load and working up from there.

It’s going in an AR with 22” barrel. I expect lower velocities than with a bolt action and definitely will be careful working up.

Thanks for the input.

Like you hinted at- just start with your 22-250 load and work up
Nosler and Sierra have 22-250ai data as well, albeit neither list AR comp

The other day Powder Valley had RL16 in stock, that should be a good powder options for 22CM and lighter bullets.

Did you ever get any data with the 53s? Ive tried them out of a Cooper 22-250 Ackley and a 722 22-250 Ackley and neither one would shoot them. I'm spinning another Cooper up right now with a 12 twist that is built specifically for pushing the 53s very fast. Was just going to see if you got any info.

I shot them a little in the AR 10, 22 Creed. They shot really well the little I have shot them. 1-9 twist.

I had an issue with the actual rifle so I put it away. I started messing with it again this summer/fall. I believe it will be a tack driver with the 53's.
