I put that 53gr v max in there and it says it’s stable (2.29) with a 1:8. However that doesn’t mean it’s maximum rpm hasn’t been exceeded

After further research and speaking with my local guy I plan to buy a tikka t3x lite stainless model in 22-250,308, or 6.5CM and order a preferred barrel. Do you have options that are more cost effective than this? 1400 bucks just for the rifle, not including a rail, rings, or scope. Sucks to just toss a new factory barrel. Anyways, kinda leaning on a strait fluted stainless 24inch barrel in 1:8. As far as bullets thinking about 55gr Barnes or a Hornady equivalent. From what I’ve read, that twist isn’t too fast. Barnes loads them in a 1:7 barrel and gets 3800fps. I do not have any idea what contour to use. I would like as close to a bull barrel I can get while still fitting in the t3x lite stock. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks again

If you already have a short action rifle with 308 bolt face just go with a prefit and a barrel vice to swap barrels.

I think you have to choose between varmint bullets and 4000fps and big game bullets and fast twist. I don’t think you’ll be able to achieve both

I agree with this or go in the middle. I like 77 smk’s and get them to one hole.

My first 22 Creedmoor is a Tikka T3X lite 22-250 with 1in8 twist just had it reamed out easy peasy. Shoots amazing. Hands down best bolt an trigger for a gun at that price point.

Ah man the 1in8 isnt easy to find the new ones are 1in14 for some reason except idk why the did a lot in left hand in 1in8. Had a guy argue they didnt make it cause he wanted one said ill show ya the dang gun thats why I bought it lol. My favorite rifle after I put it in a XLR 4.0 Magnesium
