Thoughts on 22 creed varmint bullets for coyotes? Looking for high’ish BC, not worried about the pelt.

Has anyone come out with a lead-free for .22 Creedmoor yet?

Or, Has anyone at least hand-loaded with one of the many high BC all-copper projectiles yet?

As you can imagine, since our state demands lead-free for hunting, is why I ask.

I've used the 80 ELDm from my 22-250 AI. I see no reason to change, but I'm sure I will when these are used up. IMG_2141.jpg

after I use up my stash of old 75 Gr A max Ill buy some 75 GR Hornady ELD ..I'm pretty sure going along at 22 CReed speeds , they won't just tickle a yote ..

building 2 new 22 Creeds now and working up loads ,,,have yet to shoot a yote with them ..I was in the middle of a 22 250 AI build and thought better of it due to a lack of brass and having to fire form as well....so I've been slowly creating 22 Creed brass from 308 ....

I've been a fan of the 22-250 for about as long as I can remember but with new unprimed brass so hard to come by for them and Creedmoor brass, even 22 Creedmoor, so easy the natural choice for a new hot rod 22 cal build would be the 22 Creed.

I know "improved" cartridges like a 22-250AI seem to be as popular as ever but for me, especially with the way the brass situation is, I'd never do a 22-250AI when I can have its twin in a 22 Creed but with less work and cost.

That new 62gr ELD-VT would make for a great choice, just make sure you get a fast enough twist barrel to shoot them because they need a 9tw as a minimum and a 8 or 8.5tw is better. I think the O'neill Ops guys have been using those 62 ELD-VT's in 22-250's and shoot as many or more coyotes then anyone I know. They have some great YouTube videos.

NO doubt the 22 Creed is going to run away with the fanfare and take most 22 250 guys like myself with it ... common sense kicks in !

I was loading 75 eldm extra spicy in my 20” and they were explosive. Had very good luck with them. I like the 69 tmk when I can find them and I lucked into some 64 tgk and those were super good. I just finished up a 16” 22 creed I am going to see what kinda velocities I can get with the 75 and probably give the new eldvt a try as well.

Longest kill on a coyote with 22 Creed and 80 ELDX is 970 yards so far. First shot miss. Adjusted wind hold and lunged him. He ran 50-70 yards and died in some cactus.
