Hey all. I wanted to share my rifle build because I came in just under the weight I was targeting. Total weight with the scope mounted but unloaded is 6lbs 15oz. Here’s what I got and how it’s put together:
Howa 1500 barreled mini action from Brownells. 20” BBL
Stockeys factory second stock.
Warne mountain tech 20 moa rail.
Vortex rings
Leupold vx freedom 4-12.
Factory bottom plastic and factory mags.

Eventually I will replace the bottom metal and rings and scope. After that I’ll be heavier no doubt. Rings and scope have worked well for me, but being new to this site and reading up on the drop test I’ll move on to something more reliable when the budget allows.
As for accuracy this thing is light out. I got 68 gr handloads moving at 3146 fps, sub 10 SDs and matching my ability behind a rifle.

When pop it out of the stock next time I’ll drop it on a scale. The guns heavier now. I got the Jefferson bottom metal, sold the leupold scope, and added a victor cheek riser.

did something similar, swapped the barrel for a 16 in from LS Wild, still need to swap the bottom metal but the rifle all in is 6 lb 4 oz. thing is a tack driver, thanks much @hereinaz
