205 elite hunters

I have a 300 WM and just ordered some of these. Excited to give them a shot. Has anyone done any killing with them on deer or elk? And have they performed well even at close range?

I shot a bear with a 205 Berger Elite 300 win mag at about 35 yards broadside through the lungs . Fist size exit. Couldn’t find entrance. Dropped dead in about 5 yards.

Nice. That’s good to hear. I have always had great performance with Berger’s. Love them.

My son used to run them in his factory Xbolt 26" 300 Win Mag at 3035fps. Hovered around .5 MOA. His buddy killed a deer with it at 1050 some yards. I never got a report or pics on the terminal damage. It's also killed a couple close range blacktail bucks at about 100 yards. Penetrated adequately and destroyed the vitals. FWIW, that same gun and handload won a 2000 yard completion with a first round hit on a 31x24" plate at 2,060 yards
