2026 Snowpack thread

Our accumulated total this year in Southeast Alaska was almost 18' at sea level. A record. There are still no buds on the trees.

We have a normal snow pack here in south central (I think a little under 8’ fell), but we still have at least a foot in the yard, and we’re probably about a month out from seeing any kind of green on the trees.

May 1 and this is what our snow pack in the front yard looks like. Hopefully, if it doesn’t snow again, we’ll be able to see the entire yard again for the first time in almost 7 months.

Scattered rain and snow across New Mexico today and last night, they called for up to 14 inches at some higher elevations, been socked in all day so haven’t been able to see it.

Will take what we can get, it’s scary dry!

We found some decent snow high in the Bob Marshall this past weekend, but it's going fast—probably a month plus faster than normal :(. The floating season in the Bob is going to be short (as it was last year as well)

I just got off the Green river floating thru desolation and grey canyons in eastern utah. Holy petroli the river was low and not much snow anywhere on the drive home to north idaho. Seeing ski resort with no snow this time of year is concerning.
