2026 SHOT SHOW releases

To me that translates to dirt cheap solid performing cans. Sign me up.
Maybe. I hope so.
But it could also mean a lot more cans coming apart under normal use because monstrum or hi-point or similar wanted to print a $69.69 can at 6.9oz “for the memes”

All I’m saying is it will be a hot segment for companies. And buyers will need to be paying attention to not get burned

Any thoughts on the Winchester BC Max bullets? The 6.5 140 is about 0.030 off the 140 eldm in BC (.617 vs .646) but it is marketed for hunting. Also claimed to have a tougher, higher antimony lead core with a staked base.

Hopefully the tips aren’t as inconsistent as the deer season XP rounds I’ve seen. Typically about half aren’t centered or they’re bent/smashed at the end.

Norma makes a 156gr bonded soft point in 6.5. I just wish it was a hollow point or tipped like their bondstrike
Correct, bc on them isn't great unfortunately. The speer impact 140s shot great out of my 6.5 prc so I'd like to try the 156s. Only reason I moved on from the 140s is they never are in stock which seems to be the trend for speer over the last few years. Love the bullets but unless they fix their supply chain issue I'm hesitant.

Speer is coming out with a 95gr 6mm and 156gr 6.5mm Speer impact bullet.
Apropos of nothing, Speer has always made great bullets for their prices. They really failed, IMO, by not keeping up with the high-BC races, but you can still get a lot of basic Speer BTSP designs for well under $30/100 and they will do pretty much everything I want to do to a game animal.

I don't buy many of them - I like high BCs too - but, just saying, I think Speer is good folks.

Looking at the front third of that bullet makes me want to try it. Reading about the high-antimony core makes me want to let someone else try it first. Reading two paragraphs worth of virtue signaling at the bottom of the press release kinda kills my interest, though.

Shot is great, but I hate waiting a year or longer for new products to be available. Kind of reminds of a giant market survey, If there is interest they produce it. LOL :sneaky:

So now there's a garmin xero c2? Asides from reading 10 shots per second and more phone based control of the chrono am I missing an reason someone would upgrade from the c1? So far I'm not seeing any reason to dump the c1....

You probably aren’t wrong. They make a few prototypes, see where the buzz is and continue.

I mean begara said they were gonna chamber the 7BC beginning of ‘25 and still nothing

Thats cuz the 7BC isnt getting the traction they had hoped. I believe it will slowly fade away over the next few years
