So do you choose to only use iron sights since a magnified optic can fail?
Kidding of course. I’m also not a fan of aiming devices that rely on digital tech.
We all get to make our choices on what tech we are ok with. Being in CO, we are allowed very little tech on our actual weapons.I like shooting open sights and receiver sights also. Whether with open sights or optical sights, I enjoy making the shot on my own. I also don’t want a a fishing rod that casts itself or a car that drives itself. YMMV.
I do not personally view binoculars that give you a range and dope to be making the shot for me or acting as an aiming device. It is literally just combining binos, a range finder and a door chart in one spot.
Seems like maybe don’t go back to iron sights, but definitely don’t use a range finder. It could fail for sure.
