Early archery unless you’re lucky in the random for a premium unit is at least 15+ years it seems now. Middling unit probably 10-12 years. Low tier 5+. No bull tag regardless of weapon is an easy draw anymore. Cow tags are better but not what they used to be. The days of hunting elk often in AZ is long gone.

I'm camping in Unit 1/27 now. It's very dry.

I've been able to draw 3 tags in 7 years in a low tier unit and luckily filled them all.

It's tough, when I could still archery hunt odds were better. Been here 42 years drawn exactly 3 bull tags, and a small number of cow tags. 5 I think.

Damn that's rough especially as a resident. It took me 8 years for this tag so i feel lucky.

Sad part is they live in my front yard. There is a little raghorn hanging out on fence line, he's starting to bugle alittle bit. He's getting worked up for next month.
