2026 AZ elk draw

It's pretty awesome, 3rd time for me.

I drew deer in 24 and elk in 25. Started applying in 2022. This year was just points as I can’t afford another hunt down there. Still logged into my card just to make sure they didn’t give me a tag.

My card got hit sometime between 0800 and 1330 central time today. I'll be in AZ in early December, hoping for snow!

had that happen one year, ended up with the tags though, think it was a bank issue where it disappeared while processing.

I agree. I am just surprised that it took me so long to draw a "high draw odds" AZ tag. I've given up on drawing another archery elk tag here in AZ and will take any tag I can get.

Nope, AZG&F won't go back if it was declined. They batch process then force feed the processor. Then they run an audit and que up the next in line for each hunt code(s) where a card was declined and run those manually, giving the next in line that previously declined applicants tag (tags are numbered sequentially as they're drawn).

Dang okay, I only had 3 points and seeing others talk about having 10-15 points and not being drawn is definitely making me feel sick, but hopefully it went to someone who has been waiting forever

The only draw you are out of is this Elk/Pronghorn draw. You gained an Elk point with your application so you're fine. No harm to your loyalty point which will come after next years application period. Deer draw is coming up in June.
