Interesting Sitka has come full circle and brought back the Jetstream LT.

I’ll have to take a look at one when I get to a store with stock. I can’t find a weight on their website but this could be really good piece. The original was sure good and I hunt with a few people that use it almost everyday especially in September and October

Disappointed I couldnt find a weight online anywhere or that it didnt have pit zips like the new regular jetstream.

I have the mountain evo, which is the same jacket except for the mesh on the back that the EVO had. If the new LT performs anywhere close to that jacket, it will be great. The standard Jetstream is a little much for all but the coldest hunts and is really too heavy/bulky to go in my pack outside of a basecamp or car camp scenario.

Additionally, I agree with the comments about the garment weights and fill weights. As expensive as all of this stuff is, people like to know information and research before purchases. Their arbitrary 5 bar system frankly sucks.

I didnt like the evo just due to sitting on glassing knobs. Its makes sense with a pack on.

I wish the Lt had pit zips for hikes with packs.

The weights are on the website now

Ya I’m torn. I like the evo for everything other than glassing after a hike in.

I have two Mountain EVO jackets and will still probably pick up one of the LT's for the exact purpose you guys are talking about. To me the EVO is perfect for still hunting or less aggressive climbs/hikes in/walking out ridgelines and stopping to glass for a couple minutes, I think about muzzleloader elk or wolf hunting late here in Idaho.

But if were talking like a mountain mule deer hunt where I'm going to be busting ass climbing a couple thousand feet before finally parking it on a knob and glassing for a day, any Windstopper jacket is going to be too warm to be wearing for that effort anyways. I think I agree that I will much prefer the LT for the full protection aspect when glassing a ton, but most of the time moving it'll likely be in my pack. Maybe this was their thought process also and they elected to forego pit zips in order to save weight for the pack in?
