2025 California desert. White mountains at 12,000ft. Crazy as it sounds but that’s how high these deserts live in there. 10 days of HARD hunting and turned up the guy. One shot, a terrible pack out and here we are! One of the 2 best rams killed in there since the die off a few years ago. Super proud of this ram. Never thought I’d get the opportunity to hunt sheep but stoked to have drawn a random tag so this dream could come true!

Thanks to a lot of luck and some hard work I was able to get my first ram. Couldn't be happier with how thing's worked out. Can't wait to get back out next year.

He was just very unique colored. I am not sure what causes it but there was another ram killed in the same area that was just as dark. Every other ram was much lighter colored though.

Went 25 days in the BC Bush before getting it done.

Cool ram. Did your outfitter let you hangout until you tagged out? I bet you were glad when you could finally shower.

Yes, I was done after 14 days but he encouraged me to stay at get a RAM because we were working so hard at it and covering all kinds of ground. My wife and kids gave me the clearance to stay so I stayed. apparently it was the longest hunt in the outfitters career. Killed on day 25, pack out was two more days. All we could find were 7 year olds and less until we finally got on this one on day 25.

Awesome sheep! I'm just curious if you got and hot tips from ROAL Reaper on how to hunt the Whites?
