This is the first year I selected the E-tag option, but I seem to recall folks could see their draw results on the app the night before if they selected E-tag. Is that still a thing? Anyone know what time I should start checking my app every minute?

From memory I think it’s been sometime between 7-9pm mountain time when they’ve popped up in my app. Also, I think there has been an every other year pattern where they’ve appeared early in the app.

I believe that backdoor option stopped working a few years ago. I have looked several years and never seen it populate in the app early.

3 years ago the app showed results if you got drawn the evening before.....last two years I don't think it did as I drew in 23 and had e-tag option and didn't see it until that Wed morning. Last year I didn't draw but don't recall anyone having the app show up the night prior to release.

What’s NMs policy on returning tags? I just found out that I drew a limited entry tags in Montana and now am actually hoping that I don’t draw NM too!

I think you can turn them back in for youth or disabled hunter to use....no refund as far as I know. Congrats on your Montana draw....good luck

There is a possibility that I could just do both hunts. I really didn’t think I’d draw Montana. It would be a whirlwind season. Imagine if I filled both tags! Two elk in one year, gonna need a bigger freezer!

It’s long. Archery tag. Sept 6 - Oct 5 ish

Oh yeah, do both if you can swing it. Not sure what units you put in for in NM...but I'd almost treat it like a split season...Do NM from 1-10 or so...(hopefully kill by day 5/6) and then travel day...rest day and a good 3 weeks to fill Montana tag. I'm sure many folks have found themselves in your situation and some have opted to turn a tag in.....I bet they regretted it.

Don’t turn a NM tag in. That would be silly. If anything, turn the MT tag in and probably draw it again next year. If you have the time, hunt both.

Just to be clear, I don’t have a NM tag yet. My draw odds are as poor as anybody else’s! Just thinking what if….
Odds are I’ll be getting a big check back from NM.
