2025 NM Elk Draw Thread

Thanks for sharing that, didn't know it was on the table. Don't hate the shed-hunting license. Hopefully that comes with some education too, our cows have been pushed around nonstop since early march.

I just wanted to be sure that KHNC didn't start the 2025 draw thread for NM. That seems to be a curse upon me (and him) and I'd like to avoid any bad mojo for next year's draw...

I mean, starting this a year early was IMPRESSIVE!! Not even sure how i missed this until now. But, Imma head downstairs and start getting my gear packed for my NM hunt.

Some days i wish i were a high level hacker. I would hack into NMDGF and add "Landowner Tags for Elk to Be Ranch Only for 2025 and beyond"

It was a week early at least the last 2 years. The date NMDGF uses seems to be a failsafe in case they have problems when they run the draw the Tuesday(?) a week before.

My 2023 year was zero green. 2022 zero green. 2021 a Coues. 2020 mule deer and javelina. 2019 elk in the Gila. I am overseas until 2028. I am going to apply in 2026 and 2027 and fly out and burn some vacation time if I draw only sheep and ibex though.

That’s my guess too. Montana around lunchtime on Monday and New Mexico on Wednesday
