Sorry for the delay! Writeup:
I booked the hunt through WTA, the outfitter is EOA out of Telegraph Creek BC for Aug 23-6th. My only hope was to shoot a mature Billy and take some pictures! It was a success! While researching gear & info I met a fellow rokslider that was also going on this same hunt and dates. Hopefully he posts a pic here soon!

I flew airnorth into Whitehorse. They never put my rifle on the flight from Vancouver so after it not making it on the next 4 flights I had to leave Whitehorse on a charter to telegraph.
We landed on telegraph creek and dropped off a sheep hunter, fellow rokslider and I continued on for another 20 minutes to land on a beautiful glacier lake and were greeted by the guides! Night 1 we slept in a wall tent and in the morning we headed for spike camp.
We followed a rising river in the bottom of a valley surrounded by mountains and glaciers. Night one we set up tents and while starting the fire we glassed up 2 mature Billy’s on a mountain cliff side down the riverbed a ways. Lucky!

The following day we took off down the riverbed with our waders on…once we reach the timber below were we put the Billy’s to bed we headed up. It took us about 3 hours climbing through and over timber, rockslides swarms of mosquitoes! Once we were finally out of the timber my legs were cooked. No amount of treadmill and stairstepper really can prepare you for the real deal! When we got to the bottom of the shear cliffs we saw one billy waaaay up high in an unshootable location. We hoped the other hadn’t followed the same tragectory. After about 20 minutes my awesome guide Timber Lewis hits my on the shoulder, I turn an 100 yd away a mature Billy is standing looking down at us on a shear cliff. I chamber a round slowly and tell Timber I’m going to take him! 1st shot I dropped him, 2nd shoot hit him good again and he was done. Rolled off a ledge and down into some timber will no damage. Quick clean harvest! We had to use a rope to lower him down to somewhat workable area for skinning and quarter. Once that was done the fun part of sliding down and getting meat and hide to the bottom. We made it back to spike for a fire and a freeze dried meal! Next morning we made the hike back to boat and ride to camp. Legs are sore but great experience!!

Sorry, on the 3rd day I received an inreach message from Paul, the gentleman who is in Whitehorse to shuffle hunters around. Awesome guy. He was at the airport every flight to see if it was on that flight. He called RCMP as well. Finally it arrived on flight and he held it for me until I got back to Whitehorse!

Sounds amazing, but too physical for me now. Now that I'm older, I have the money, but losing the desire & physical aspect to do something like this. The hunting desire is still there. but after serious health problems,... not so sure I can do such a hunt.
