I have an elk/deer combo hunt booked with Waypoint Outfitters in Trout Mt booked for 2025. This was booked for 2023 and I had to put it off for 2025. I can only transfer the hunt one time so I am out of luck if I can't go in 2025. I am down for the 1st week rifle season, last week in Oct 2025, with them but the dates can be changed at this time, but just not the year. I had paid the $3,000 downpayment with a balance of $3,000 left due 90 days before the hunt for a 1:1 hunt. I can transfer this hunt to anyone else for $2,000, saving you $1,000. Montana still allows the purchase a preference point until Dec 31, and when you apply for the tag, by 3-31-25, you can purchase a preference point AND another "guide" point giving you 3 points total, which is the max points needed to draw. Everything can be verified with Waypoint Outfitters if intrested. I went on a hunt with them in 2022 and had the time of my life and placed a DP for another hunt at that time..Not looking good for me to be able to go..If you chose another week in 2025 with them a 1:2 hunt would still be available, at this time..
