2025 Mathew’s Bows

I’m curious about the sight but for $700 the pins don’t seem that bright and the housing looks like it’s made of plastic.

Seem's like a very nice bow. I'm interested but not quite as much as the AX2 29.5. I would have loved to see a little more change in a year then that limb drive system and some grips. Like the riser is exactly the same. Cams exactly the same. And limbs identical to the limbs they replaced last year after all the issues with the lift. I do get that the short and long draw bow probably took up a bunch of their time though.

Technology can only go so far. I'm surprised they came up with anything of benefit to be honest.

It is plastic / Polymer have you seen a regular UV sight. My brother bought one for like 1k with all the fancy stuff and the case. They packaged it like it was a 30k Rolex though. He loves it but I won't shell that out for a sight hell no.

Looks like nice bows, but I won’t be upgrading my lift unless I have limb problems… then the upgrade wouldn’t be a mathews

I do think they will sell like crazy

There is already a list of a guy who got a left handed one and at the shop it split down the middle my buddy sent it to me

I can't be certain, but the only thing that has gone out far as I know are preview packages.


Unless you are really special, and if you are I don't think you would be posting that.


You don't get to choose a handedness in your preview.

I understand the ease of the shifting cams, but I don’t understand the “oh my gosh I can tune at home with no bow press”
what happens about timing or a string change? All my top hats have been adjusted once and they are good to go now through a couple string changes?

It's the ability to do it essentially on the line, in a minute, PLUS be able to tune in the window between shims.

I can tune an elite bow to three different arrow spines in the time it takes me to swap the 220 shims on my PSE. That ease leads to a willingness to constantly be tuning, experimenting, and ultimately makes perfect arrow flight attainable versus pretty good.

but you still have a bow press?
Every video I have seen about the new Mathew’s they all talk about, do it at home you don’t need a bow press…. Etc etc, but that’s false.

I'm interested in the lift x, but the draw wasn't all that amazing, for me anyway. The Lift from last had a fairly stiff front end to me. I find that yes you do get used to the draw, but when it's cold and you have to draw slow to minimize movement that's when it stands out. I was hoping mathews would go into the 34-35 ATA range, but then it would interfere with their target line and the ability to charge $700 more for the target bow if I want that long of an ATA.

I am more inclined to try the Darton Sequel ST2 35. I really wanted something in the 34-35 ATA range. I have no interest in the hoyts this year. Bowtech has me curious if they have something that is 34 ATA with an SS cam and the time lock.... I'm not a speed guy so all these bows with the stiff front end i'm not drawn too. And I'm a short ish 27.5-28 in draw so I have no desire to go to 75-80lbs peak weight either. I know I am a short draw for that long of a riser/ATA, but I like the stability and hunt out west.

I'm drawn to the smooth easy draw bows. I have never shot Darton and the tech looks great. I'm considering looking for a used Bowtech SS34 (especially if the new bowtech doesn't wow me): If anyone has a Kuiu verde version they want to sell PM me....

My last 3 bows have been PSE carbon air with the evolve cam 2016 version (was a dream, but sold it), then the bowtech revolt x, then v3x 33. I made the Revolt my backup to the v3x33, but sold the v3x33 earlier this year thinking I would tinker with the revolt till new bows came out then sell it too. BUT the revolt is just amazing and I realized again why I bought it in the first place, which has me thinking....are any of the new bows that much better....

Not seeing a need to upgrade from last year's lift but I will certainly pick up the new contour grip to try out. Can't be worse then the stock Mathew's grip.

Every video I have seen about the new Mathew’s they all talk about, do it at home you don’t need a bow press…. Etc etc, but that’s false.

I have a bow medic cable press thing, I do not have a draw board. I can change strings on bows that are not past parallel. I have to slightly press my mach 34 to get those little clips out and I hate it.

I use the shop's press and board to check/adjust cam timing when I get new strings broken in, and periodically check it through the season although I don't remember it changing. Darton's cable twisting thing seems pretty slick.

I think the most common tuning woes are left/right hiccups, and I do enjoy shooting bare shafts at distance while playing with SET/Deadlock. I think Darton and Mathews will fall into that group now as well.

No you can buy them our shop has them for sale now I’m not sure if they have any lefty bows also this is second hand info I didn’t see the bows for sale with my own eyes I have not been up there yet some of us have to work lol…

Usually a few trickle in first few days, so I'm sure somewhere bows besides the preview package are for sale.

But a LH would not be typical at all, it does appear to be the new color tho. Also appears to not be LH.

Dealers are going to L.O.V.E that they have to stock 4 models now. Absolutely LOVE it.

That Shale color sure is pretty though.

There are no other bows in the hunting line, like previous years. The phase 4 and Lift is gone along with the other bows that were on the hunting line. All replaced with the Lift X 29.5 & 33, Lift RS, and Lift XD.

With the SAS you can twist cables. You can change the string and cables with the SAS too, but need to press it to change the yokes.
