2025 CPW Draft Licenses Recommendations

Great info...thanks for that.

Seems like this could have been handy before the app deadline...but overall looks like odds good for guys to get elk tags.

A little surprised how quickly the NW winter kill areas are rebounding and how fast they have been to add cow tags back to units that had restricted cow tags recently. Hope it's legit and herd is doing great!

Remind me to stay out of GMU 62 during archery season. 1,300 NR ES Archery tags. Yikes

12,415 NR ES Archery tags total for all DAU
My one and only archery season in Colorado was in 62. We took a 3 mile ATV trail and hiked 3 additional miles on foot to a wallow at 4am. Sat in the dark until the sun came up and 2 guys were sitting 20 yards across the wallow from us. A couple of minutes later, some other group of hunters ripped a bugle and 3 other groups answered back about 200 yards down the trail from us. I watched a guy sprint across a meadow chasing after another hunter bugling that evening in the same area. Made Meeker seem like a private land hunt.

I don't have a computer. When I open it up on my phone it blurry and can't read it for some reason.

The increase in deer tags seems strange for any unit since mule deer are struggling across the west.
I'd love to see their fawn numbers the last two years. We're setting records in Wyoming, specifically right by the Colorado border and west, so I'd imagine they had record-breaking fawn production, too. With that comes a flood of young bucks, and those bucks have high mortality anyway, so Game and Fish Agencies everywhere like giving opportunity on them.

Unfortunately, the unit I applied for has a slight decrease in buck tags and I was just one point into the 100% pool, so hopefully creep doesn't get a guy!

Looks like they didn't get the "last hurrah" of OTC tag sales that a lot of the doom and gloom brigade were expecting.

Tag sales going down again even as they keep increasing quotas is interesting. No wonder they keep jacking up prices after losing $3,000,000+ in tag revenue multiple times in the last 4 years.

A person can now see how many licenses are issued [proposed] for NonRes archery Elk per DAU
They couldn’t tell me how many were going to be allocated to an all private unit, before or during appliance window. Pretty sad,
