Something to carry in the truck. Nothing crazy or cut tins of firewood. More a firewood for camping and random trees fallen across the road type thing. I would cut wood at our cabin here and there but again it doesnt have to be super heavy duty.

I got an email from my local Stihl dealer for sales on saws, leaf blowers and some other stuff. They are a authorized dealer, so perhaps it's a nation wide thing. Wouldn't hurt to check. I didn't look at it real close as I bought a new saw last year.

Keep an eye on Primary Arms, they often do a pretty steep discount around Black Friday on AR triggers. IIRC, I picked up a $270 Geissele trigger a couple of years ago for $160, or close to that.

These better be some damn fine batteries at 3x the price of of alkaline batteries. These do last about 40-50% longer than regular batteries. I did not know about the anti-corrosion benefit, which is quite good.

I bought these in July for $2 cheaper so not sure I'd call this a BF deal like AMZN is doing.

NiMH being dogshit is a pretty good reason. Lithium is a longevity and reliability play, not cost savings.

NiMH being dogshit is a pretty good reason. Lithium is a longevity and reliability play, not cost savings.

NiMH has a couple things where it easily beats lithium. Cold weather performance and no risk of blowing up being two of them.

There are other areas were lithium is better, such as amount of power available, but not reliability, there NIMH wins unless you need to store them without charging for years (length of time will depend on the battery, Eneloops are pretty good at being stored).

But, there a recharge lithium AA and AAA batteries as well.
