My 11.5 month old GWP pup on point on a covey that was about 60 yards downhill from her. I was able to get 20 yards closer than she was but they still flushed 40 yards away and quickly made it out of range before I could get my feet set on the steep slope. 21 hunts into the year and she’s holding point and letting me work in front to flush the birds so she’s doing great.

Cold yesterday!!! Feels like temp -20 all day. Managed a couple. Could have shot a load of chickens if that wasn't closed.

His hunt got cancelled last weekend because of the weather so I laid out of work yesterday afternoon and let him get after some pen raised birds. It was a good time.

Cold weekend! Feels like temp on Friday was -30 when we started. Price of doing business Jan in SD. Finding some still.

Not a fan of vests for the dog but shorthairs just aren't made for those temps. Put a shirt under the vest and help with the chaffing the vests always cause.

Dreaming of fair fall weather and chasing birds in the UP. This is Albert, our 5 yo Golden who just wrapped up his 5th season and Ruby, our 2 yo Irish Setter who we rescued1 year ago and will hopefully be ready to hunt with this fall. She's just having fun here smelling the smells.

Took a quick trip out to SD last week. My Brit did fantastic first day, lost his mind a little on the second day (still got a few birds though). Still a great trip and great experience for him. Not sure if we'll get out again before the season closes this weekend.

I dont have a dog, but i got a paddle board to retrieve these guys. My buddy and i went camping and sea duck hunting for a couple days.
