2024 Spring Bear Thread

A heads up for hunters eating their bear. Several people in N Dakota got seriously I’ll eating undercooked bear . It was a black bear taken in Saskatchewan. It had the common tricinosious worm. Cook it to death .NO rare bear.
 
Hunting solo in NW MT and got it done on June 1st.

Stickflingers out of Birch River, Manitoba. Arrowed day 5. 43 different bears at bait. Unbelievable place and Scenic. Porcupine Hills region.
13 yard shot. 6' 4" Arrowed way back in bush, skinned, quartered out in field. AWESOME experience! David, best guide in the bizz.
Other 2 buddy's punched tags as well. Ome being trad bow.

First bear, archery 16 yards. It's a North Central Ontario bear and suffice to say I am hooked. He doesn't compare to some of those in here but he's pretty special to me. Im slightly narcoleptic and you can see below when the bear came in and when I recovered him. I know they say Spring bear are lean, but I've got 10 of those little jam jars of rendered fat out him.

Man people are having great spring bear seasons.
